Course introduction:

  • Specialized for Inspectors, Surveyors, Engineer representatives and Project Managers working in utility-related works to ensure that the surveying results reach required standards;
  • Regulations on utility survey;
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge in underground utility mapping to meet the increasing demand for evaluation of underground utility survey results and its usefulness in their contracts.

Foundation Certificate: 3-day course = 18 hours, including an examination
Professional Certificate: 5-day course = 38 hours, including site operation, a quiz and an
examination

Foundation Certificate - “Certificate of Attendance in utility mapping for Inspectors,
Engineers, Surveyors and Project Managers; it meets the requirement for entry as
Associate member of Hong Kong Institute of Utility Specialists, HKIUS Competence
Certificate issued by PolyU-SPEED to meet the training requirements for application as
Competent Person under Cap406H.


Professional Certificate - “Certificate of Attainment for those passed the test in utility
mapping for Operators, Engineers, Surveyors and Managers; it meets the requirements
for entry as full member of Hong Kong Institute of Utility Specialists, HKIUS
